Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, recently posted a reel on Instagram featuring Taylor Swift’s huge hit “August,” which has gone viral. The video immediately drew attention on social media because Trump is known for constantly expressing his dislike for Swift. The post also dropped after the President previously took a dig at Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding announcement.
Donald Trump’s team uses Taylor Swift’s song for his video with wife Melania
A new reel was posted on the Team Trump Instagram account, featuring Donald Trump and Melania. However, the video has become a center of discussion on the social media platform after users noticed Taylor Swift’s song playing in the background.
The video shows Trump and Melania standing side by side, watching the fireworks display as Swift’s hit song “August” plays in the background. The text on the video stated, “Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president.” On the other hand, the Trump administration took a dig at Swift and wrote, “I’m sure @taylorswift13 is going to be really excited we used her song.”
Many users chimed in the comments section and called out Trump for using Swift’s song. A user wrote, “Using the song of Taylor Swift in this video is a crime.” Another user commented, “Imagine being the President and having to troll using August just to get attention. You need to calm down!” A third user went on to comment, “Taylor doesn’t support u, don’t use her music.”
Last month, the White House posted an image mimicking Swift’s wedding announcement post, “JUST&T Married.” In the Instagram post, the Trump administration replaced the wedding announcement with “Trump is your President.” The caption stated, “IT’S HAPPENED!!!” Swift married Travis Kelce in a private ceremony at Madison Square Garden on July 3. On the other hand, the White House made the post on July 4.
