According to Naughty But Nice, Meghan Markle attended a California dinner party with Martha Stewart shortly after returning from Highgrove. The “Suits” actress and the lifestyle guru allegedly spoke only briefly. Even so, Stewart reportedly knew Markle had recently returned from seeing the monarch.
That detail has now caught the attention of royal insiders. The dinner was apparently not a private gathering of Markle’s closest friends. Instead, a source claimed it included “people she barely knew.” Yet, according to the insider, news of her meeting with Charles had seemingly already made its way into the conversation.
“This wasn’t an intimate gathering of close friends,” the source told Naughty But Nice. The insider claimed that was what made the situation particularly concerning. However, the issue goes beyond what Markle may have said. Another source alleged that palace officials are more concerned that details about the reunion were being discussed outside a very limited circle.
“The entire purpose of that reunion was to rebuild trust,” the insider said. The source claimed that even small details spreading beyond those directly involved could create problems. That is where Stewart’s comments become significant. She allegedly said she had limited interaction with Markle at dinner. Still, she knew the Duchess had “just gotten back from the palace.”
As a result, one insider questioned how much others at the dinner may have known. “If someone who barely interacted with Meghan knew she’d been with the King, imagine what everyone else at that table heard,” the source said. They also added that the royal family’s “greatest fear has always been that private moments become public conversation.”
That said, there is no indication that Markle disclosed any sensitive information. The report does not establish what, if anything, she may have discussed about the meeting.
