Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson are asking fans to help stop a wave of online misinformation. The former HGTV stars recently shared an urgent message with fans after a troubling online situation involving their family spiraled out of control.

Sherrod and Jackson addressed the issue in a video posted to Instagram. The “Married to Real Estate” stars urged followers to report a Facebook page called Property Pioneers. According to the couple, the account published fabricated stories that many people mistakenly believed.
“So there’s a page on Facebook, it’s called Property Pioneers, and we need your help to get Facebook to take this page down,” Sherrod said. “Because when I say the damage that they are doing, and the thousands of people that are believing the stories.”
Sherrod revealed the page had already blocked her after she repeatedly commented to tell readers the posts were false. She has been asking administrators to remove the content.
She also shared some of the rumors the account allegedly spread. That included fabricated quotes about the LGBTQ+ community and a false claim that she had brain cancer.
The misinformation became especially upsetting when it reached their family. “My children asked me if I have cancer,” Sherrod said. “Because this story has traveled so far and wide, and it’s made up.”
The couple urged fans to rely only on information from their official platforms. “If you don’t hear it from us first, it didn’t happen. It’s not true,” Sherrod said. Jackson echoed the message, asking supporters to be cautious about what they read online. “Just pay attention to, not just to that page but anything, again, if it didn’t come from us, it’s not us,” he said.
In the caption accompanying their Instagram post, Sherrod thanked fans for their support while asking them to continue reporting fake accounts. “If folks could just direct their energy and efforts for good,” she wrote before urging followers to report the page and “any others as fake and malicious.”
The effort appears to have worked. According to E! News, the Facebook page is no longer accessible, suggesting platform moderators removed it.
