John Hinckley Jr. has been known since 1981 for the assassination attempt on former U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Beyond the attack, he has also remained known for his obsession with actress Jodie Foster.
Now, new reports have revealed that Hinckley has shared a message for Foster.

Recently, John Hinckley Jr. appeared on Mark Joseph’s show, where he expressed his wishes for Jodie Foster’s well-being and spoke about several other matters.
Hinckley said, “I just wish Jodie Foster well, you know?”
“I don’t really see her movies, but I wish her well, and I know she’s doing quite well. And that’s all I can say is just, I wish Jodie well, and I hope she has a good life,” he added**.**
Hinckley’s obsession with the two-time Academy Award-winning actress began in 1976 after he watched Taxi Driver, leading him to actively stalk Jodie Foster.
Around 1980, while Foster was studying at Yale University, Hinckley traveled to New Haven, Connecticut, where he continued sending her numerous love letters. However, Foster ignored his advances and actions, making it clear that she did not want to communicate with a stranger in such a manner.
On March 30, 1981, Hinckley opened fire on former U.S. President Ronald Reagan outside a hotel in Washington, D.C.
Investigators widely believe Hinckley carried out the attack because of his obsession with Jodie Foster and hoped it would attract her attention.
During the 1981 shooting, the attack also injured Press Secretary James Brady, police officer Thomas Delahanty, and Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy.
However, as OK Magazine reported, a court found John Hinckley Jr. not guilty by reason of insanity in 1982.
