Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could reportedly survive without any Royal Family links to further their careers. Royal expert Afua Hagan told The Royal Observer that the Sussexes don’t allegedly need to rely on their title for their future. “I don’t think commercially they need the royal family.”
Furthermore, the royal commentator addressed the ongoing claims about Markle’s Hollywood dreams not going as planned. She insisted that the mother of two has been “hugely successful” as an entrepreneur for her lifestyle brand, As Ever. Instead of capitalizing on her title, Markle worked towards bringing new products and also starring in her own Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.”
“Her show that she had on Netflix was [Daytime] Emmy nominated. She’s doing really well in her brand and with what she does,” Hagan said. Furthermore, the expert highlighted the 45-year-old’s appearance on “MasterChef Australia,” where she requested to be addressed as just “Meghan.”
Hagan also made note of Harry’s focus on his own philanthropic work and ventures. “Prince Harry, on the other hand, is furthering the companies he’s working with, especially furthering the Invictus Games, and managing to do that without royal links.” Therefore, the expert didn’t think that the Sussexes would “necessarily need the royal links to further their careers.”
Hagan even believed that Harry and Markle’s latest reunion with King Charles has reportedly nothing to do with the couple’s careers. According to her, the reconciliation was “more on a personal level.”
