Princess Charlotte’s Future Royal Role Has Already Been Mapped Out — Source

Princess Charlotte could take on a more prominent role in the Royal Family once her older brother, Prince George, leaves for boarding school. At 11, she has reportedly already shown the confidence and leadership skills needed for greater royal duties. Although George remains second in line to the throne, Charlotte could take on more public royal duties in the coming years.

Princess Charlotte will be handed new responsibilities once Prince George heads off to Eton, per source

According to New Idea, the young princess is expected to take on additional responsibilities. This will come after George, 13, reportedly heads to Eton College in September. A royal insider claimed Charlotte already feels comfortable taking on a bigger role. She reportedly does not see the change as overwhelming. “Charlotte’s having to take up the mantle left by George at boarding school, but it’s nothing she’s fazed by at all,” the source said.

The princess has also earned praise for the way she handles public appearances alongside her parents and brothers. The insider described her as a “natural leader.” They further claimed she often helps keep her younger brother, Prince Louis, and George in line during public engagements. “She relishes being given more responsibilities,” the source added.

Her confidence has also drawn comparisons to her mother, Princess Kate, particularly when Charlotte takes part in formal royal events. Charlotte has developed a strong passion for sport and could eventually take on patronages linked to ballet and netball. Her recent appearance at the Wimbledon men’s final also showed her growing confidence.

George’s move to boarding school could change the dynamic among the Wales children. With George spending more time away, Charlotte could join her parents at more public engagements. She remains too young to take on formal royal duties, but her reported confidence could make her a trusted companion for the Princess of Wales at future events. While Charlotte steps into the public eye, George will continue preparing to become King behind Palace doors.
