Former TV personality Stephen Bear has been making headlines over his ongoing prison troubles. His situation has now taken an even more serious turn after authorities sent him back to jail once again. With his latest return to prison, the former TV personality has now served time behind bars on three separate occasions.
Stephen Bear gets 24 weeks for breaking sex offender notification rules over Brazil trip
The 36-year-old recently received a 24-week prison sentence after pleading guilty to five counts of failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements.
The situation began when Stephen Bear shared several posts on social media while abroad, appearing to brag that the police would not be able to catch him. Those boastful posts eventually landed him back in court, as he had failed to notify the police before leaving the country.
For context, Bear was brought before the court for failing to disclose details about his trip to Brazil. He also failed to inform authorities that he had obtained a new passport and two new bank cards.
The former Big Brother winner has found himself in similar trouble before, and this latest prison sentence is his shortest punishment so far. This marks his third time behind bars.
Stephen Bear began his first prison sentence in March 2023 after sharing an intimate video of Georgia Harrison without her consent. Although the court sentenced him to 21 months, he spent around 10 and a half months in prison before authorities released him.
The second time came after his release, when Stephen Bear breached a restraining order by posting derogatory comments about Georgia Harrison on social media. As a result, the judge at Chelmsford Crown Court handed the former reality star an additional 16-month prison sentence.
