An expert has drawn a parallel between Meghan Markle and Princess Diana‘s lives within the royal family, noting that there is one key difference. Kevin O’Sullivan, a British broadcaster and journalist, was joined by royal biographer Angela Levin on TalkTV.
They discussed Diana’s married life with King Charles, noting that while both were great in their own ways, they were ultimately unsuited for each other. When the host asked if there were any parallels between Diana’s unhappiness within the royal family and what Markle is facing, Levin said that there were not at all.

The host then asked whether there were any parallels between Diana’s unhappiness within the royal family and the unhappiness Markle reportedly experienced.
Levin replied, “No. Good question, but not at all.” She added that Diana didn’t say a single bad word about the late Queen Elizabeth II or anything that happened behind the palace walls. She continued, “She thought it was wonderful and she believed in the royal family.”
Coming to Markle, Levin said that the Duchess doesn’t believe in the royal family. According to her, all Markle has wanted is to be in charge. She believes the former “Suits” alum married Prince Harry so that she could explore more opportunities and make money. As far as Diana was concerned, she didn’t care much about these things. The report stated that she was very happy up to a certain point.
Ultimately, Levin believes that both women faced similar challenges within the royal family. Yet, the royal author noted that their attitudes toward the royals were very different. Diana embraced the institution, while Markle went on to make bombshell claims, bringing the palace into a negative light.
