Solange Knowles Gets Candid About Her ‘Parallels’ With Hayden Panettiere

Solange Knowles paid tribute to her late Bring It On: All or Nothing co-star Hayden Panettiere. Knowles reflected on their time together after Panettiere died at 36. She also honored the lasting impact of their work.

Solange Knowles remembers working with Hayden Panettiere on Bring It On.

Knowles shared her tribute to Panettiere through Instagram Stories on Tuesday. She posted a still from their 2006 movie, “Bring It On: All or Nothing.” The actresses played rival cheerleaders who eventually became friends.

“Rest in peace Hayden,” Knowles wrote in her heartfelt tribute. She added that Panettiere was deserving of peace after her difficult journey. Knowles also reflected on the connection they shared.

“We had so many parallels in our lives,” Knowles wrote. She praised how Panettiere courageously lived while telling her story publicly. Knowles also referenced the actress’ pursuit of vulnerability and healing.

“I salute your journey,” Knowles continued in her message. She also honored the work they created together. Knowles said that project became meaningful to many people.

Their 2006 film followed two teenage cheerleaders from very different backgrounds. Panettiere played Britney, who transferred to Crenshaw Heights High School. Knowles portrayed Camille, a cheerleader from the new school.

The characters initially became rivals after Britney joined Camille’s cheer squad. They eventually developed an unlikely friendship. Their storyline helped make the movie a memorable part of the franchise.

The film also gained renewed attention years after its release. A krump-style dance-off featuring Panettiere’s character became popular on social media. The scene received renewed attention two decades after the movie premiered.

Knowles also emphasized the meaning behind their shared work. She described the project as something that reached people unexpectedly. She remembered them as two young women searching for light.

“The light surrounds you now,” Knowles wrote. She ended her message by wishing Panettiere peace. Her tribute added to the many reactions following the actress’ death.

Other “Bring It On: All or Nothing” stars also remembered Panettiere. Gustavo Carr described her as a light, muse, artist and old soul. Gary Leroi praised her talent, work ethic, smile and laugh.

Panettiere is survived by her parents and daughter Kaya. Knowles’ tribute highlighted their shared history and the film’s lasting connection. It also honored Panettiere’s personal journey beyond her acting career.
