Farm Aid has been running for decades, and this year, CNN is once again set to air the 2026 benefit concert. The exciting news is that Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and several other big names will take the stage for live performances, which could prove beneficial for both CNN and the show.
Farm Aid 2026 will broadcast live across CNN channels during a special four-hour primetime block
As per the Variety coverage, CNN will air Farm Aid 2026 during primetime, giving viewers an evening broadcast featuring performances from board member artists, including Willie Nelson and Family, Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews with Tim Reynolds, Margo Price, and Nathaniel Rateliff.
The music festival will stream live on Saturday, September 26, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on CNN. It will also be available to stream live on CNN.com/watch and the CNN app.
John Berman and Laura Coates will host Farm Aid 2026 from a large outdoor theater in Virginia, bringing viewers coverage of the special event. Meanwhile, Bill Weir will be on-site to report the latest updates from the venue.
As we know, CNN does not only broadcast daily news but also brings viewers some very special moments from time to time, such as New Year’s Eve and the Fourth of July celebrations. Farm Aid’s return to the media company is making that list even more impressive.
For context, CNN previously aired the musical event in September 2025 for its 40th anniversary, dedicating a five-hour block to the celebration from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As for Farm Aid, it is an American nonprofit organization and annual music festival founded in 1985 by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp. Over the past four decades, the concert is said to have raised more than $90 million to support farmers and advocate for fair farm policies.
