Amanda Batula is back on Instagram with new photos featuring her boyfriend West Wilson. However, the Summer House star’s return quickly sparked more than just relationship chatter. While several fans praised how happy she looked, one commenter accused her of using bots to create positive reactions. This prompted Amanda to fire back with a cheeky response.
Amanda Batula addressed criticism after sharing new photos with West Wilson
Months after Amanda and West sparked controversy over their relationship involving her estranged husband Kyle Cooke and West’s former flame Ciara Miller, Amanda returned to Instagram on Aug. 24.
The new slideshow showed Amanda and West enjoying their summer away from filming. The pair were pictured spending time on a boat and having drinks together. In another set of photos, they wore matching “Newport” sweatshirts and got cozy at what appeared to be an outdoor bar.
Amanda captioned the post, “Weenies and martinis.”
Several fans focused on how happy she appeared in the photos. “I have to say in all the years I’ve watched I’ve never seen you this happy,” one fan wrote. Another agreed, saying, “NGL…Never seen her so happy.” “Just wanted to say, I’m glad [you’re] happy. You deserve that,” a third person commented.
However, not everyone was convinced by the positive reactions. One commenter questioned whether Amanda was paying for the supportive comments, asking, “I wanna know how much it costs for all the bots to comment how happy you are?”
Amanda responded with a joke of her own: “3 day free trial.”
The post also drew plenty of criticism. Some followers questioned her choices, while others defended her against the backlash.
“People are allowed to move on with their lives. Anyone who has never had a messy breakup, put your hand up…….yeah, I didn’t think so. Let her be happy with her one precious life,” one supporter wrote.
Another said, “Glad you posted. I don’t have to agree with your choices to show compassion. The amount of hate you received was wild.”
Some fans also encouraged Amanda to enjoy her life away from the drama, with one commenter writing, “Honestly best thing you guys can do is stay away from TV and live your lives ✌️”
Others were far less supportive, with comments including “Girl read the room,” “This is giving your first season of you on Summer House vibes” and “Definition of pick me girl.”
Despite the divided reaction, Amanda appeared to take the comments in stride, even responding playfully to the accusation about bots.
