Andy Cohen Has One Major Problem With Joining The Traitors

Andy Cohen does not expect an invitation to The Traitors to work in his favor. The Bravo host said his experience with reality television could make him an immediate target among the other contestants.

While discussing the future of the Real Housewives franchise, he revealed that producers of The Traitors Peacock series have not approached him about competing.

“They haven’t asked me,” Cohen addressed the possibility during an interview with Variety.

His role as an Andy Cohen reunion host also creates another concern. Cohen said he wants to continue hosting reunions and questioned whether appearing as a contestant would affect that job.

“First of all, I think I would be eliminated immediately. I host the reunion, which I would like to keep doing. I don’t think I could do that if I were on it,” he said.

Cohen also pointed to his background behind the camera. He has produced competition reality shows, which could make other players suspicious of him from the beginning.

“But also, I think I would be such a target, and I’ve produced competition reality shows, so I don’t know who would want me on their cast,” Cohen added.

The possibility of an Andy Cohen The Traitors appearance is not the only reality competition opportunity he has discussed. Cohen also revealed that he previously declined Dancing With the Stars.

His reason for turning down that show had nothing to do with strategy. Cohen said he simply did not want to dance on television.

“I can’t dance on TV. No one wants to see that,” he said.

Cohen added that people already record him dancing at Dead shows and sometimes post the clips online.

“I used to be the greatest freeform dancer, and I feel like every time I go to Dead shows, people film me dancing, and then I get made fun of on TikTok. Let me dance in peace,” he said.

For now, Cohen said The Traitors has not extended an invitation, while he remains focused on his existing reunion hosting duties.
