Hannah Berner is heading back to reality television, but this time she is calling the shots. The Summer House alum will host Paramount+’s upcoming dating experiment, Making Love. The comedian announced the news alongside Paige DeSorbo on Giggly Squad. The new Hannah Berner dating show will arrive in early 2027.

Berner broke the news on the Aug. 25 episode of Giggly Squad. “Yes, I’m hosting a dating reality show called Making Love. I’m entering my matchmaker era,” she said.
She also revealed the series came from the team behind Love Is Blind and Married at First Sight. That pedigree apparently mattered when Berner considered her reality television return.
“I’m not doing a dating reality show unless it’s like the creme de la creme,” she joked. Berner admitted she initially worried the production team might fire her.
Fortunately, that did not happen. She explained that her role also gave her a different experience than her Bravo days.
“I wanted to wait for the perfect opportunity to get involved as a host,” Berner said. “I love love. I am a romantic.”
According to Deadline, Making Love offers singles an unusual opportunity. Each participant can describe their ultimate fantasy partner, and the show will find that person. However, their supposed perfect match also creates a fantasy partner of their own. The experiment then tests whether checking every box actually leads to love.
The comedian said she became deeply invested in the contestants’ journeys. She watched some find romance while others suffered devastating heartbreak.
Berner also embraced a tougher role with certain contestants. “Some of these men I whipped into shape,” she joked, comparing herself to a substitute teacher.
Still, the biggest question involved whether people truly knew what they wanted. Berner challenged contestants when their perfect match differed from their expectations.
She ultimately called the Paramount+ dating experiment “game-changing” and “epic.” The former Summer House star clearly believes she has found the right reality TV comeback.
