Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault
Ex-Prince Andrew has been accused of alleged sex crimes by a Republican Congressman in the U.S. The accusation came amid renewed scrutiny over allegations against the former royal.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was accused of committing sex crimes in the U.S. by Rep. Thomas Massie
Thomas Massie, a congressman, accused Prince Andrew of committing sex crimes during a speech in the House of Representatives in DC.
He demanded that people associated with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein should be held accountable. He said, “We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted. And Prince Andrew, who committed sex crimes in the United States. Perhaps hearing these names will shame the Department of Justice into delivering justice.”
He also named other people during his speech, including former Barclays CEO Jes Staley and magician David Copperfield.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has denied the accusations, while Massie continues to criticize the Department of Justice.
According to the Daily Mail, a woman named Virginia Giuffre alleged that she had sex with Prince Andrew three times when she was 17 years old after Epstein trafficked her to Andrew.
Giuffre alleged that two sexual incidents took place in New York and Epstein’s private Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Another woman revealed that she was taken to the U.K. by Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew. The Mail reported in May that the unnamed woman was reluctant to file a complaint against Andrew. However, her lawyer said that she has moved from “hard no” to “may be” about helping in U.K. investigations.
Andrew was arrested in February for misconduct in public office after the files released by the Trump administration revealed that Prince Andrew had exchanged sensitive information with Epstein.
Following the revelations, Andrew was stripped of his military and royal titles and was asked to leave Windsor home by the British Royal Family. While Andrew denied the allegations, the British Royal Family has not commented on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s sex crimes allegations.
