Former Big Brother star Laura Carter looked back on her journey so far

Laura appeared on Big Brother in 2016 and became known for her romance with Marco Pierre White Jr., a fellow contestant. Marco was engaged to Kim Melville-Smith when he entered the house. Laura later moved into glamour modeling and appeared on the cover of Playboy. Despite rumors, she never actually moved to Los Angeles to live with a friend.

Laura said she went “from doing jobs where I could pretty much earn up to £40,000 in a day,” to Big Brother. She later became pregnant with her son. “When I had Jaxon, I had nothing, I had spent all my money,” she said on the RESET the Pod podcast. She also said she no longer had a relationship with Jaxon’s father.

Laura remembered sitting down in her flat and wondering how she would afford it. She was advised to seek benefits from the government. She initially felt too proud to seek help. She eventually went to a benefits office and explained her situation. In the end, she didn’t ever claim or receive benefits, but realized she wanted to change her life.

Laura explained that the meeting was a wake-up call for her to do a reset in her life. She also claimed that she was “cancelled from everything” after her reality TV show. She admitted that she earned little money after Big Brother. Laura later turned to OnlyFans, which she said: “saved her life.”

Laura also spoke about her controversial stint on Big Brother. She said she still regrets her romance with Marco and called it something she must live with “for the rest of my life.” Marco had claimed Kim gave him a “hall pass,” but Kim later said they were not in an open relationship. Laura also criticized the former Channel 5 show for airing her intimate moments on television.

Now, a decade on from Big Brother, Laura’s life has changed entirely. She’s built her business SOQ Supps from the ground up. All without ever presenting herself as a victim, or sensationalizing her past.
