Remini shared a photo on Instagram with Sutton and Kyle Richards on September 2. The three women posed together while enjoying a meal. A bandage emoji covered part of Sutton’s face in the picture.
“Not even a week in and Sutton has stitches,” Remini wrote alongside the photo. Sutton quickly responded to her new RHOBH costar’s tease.
“You really have a strong right hook!” Sutton joked in the comments. She then added, “You had me in stitches!!!;)”
The exchange appeared to reference Sutton needing stitches during filming. However, neither woman suggested Remini actually caused Sutton’s injury. Their comments instead played into the joke surrounding Sutton’s bandaged face.
The moment came shortly after Remini joined RHOBH Season 16. Filming for the upcoming season reportedly began at the end of August. Remini will appear alongside Sutton and several returning cast members.
Kyle is also returning for the new season alongside Erika Jayne. Dorit Kemsley and Bozoma Saint John are also expected to appear. Rachel Zoe reportedly joined the cast as well, while Jennifer Tilly is returning as a friend of the show.
Remini’s arrival marks a major addition to the long-running Bravo franchise. She previously built a successful television career outside reality TV. The actress became widely known for starring in The King of Queens.
She later hosted Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath with Mike Rinder. The A&E series won two Primetime Emmy Awards.
