Jeff Probst Refuses To Give an Answer on Parvati Shallow’s Two-Time Winner Status

There’s a debate happening in the Survivor fanbase about Parvati Shallow’s two-time winner status, and Jeff Probst is caught up in the middle of it. It all started on Jeff’s podcast, when he asked Jeremy Collins if Parvati’s win on Australian Survivor would “count in the same way” as winning in the United States. Jeremy said that it would only count as “one and a half wins.”

Obviously, that comment didn’t sit well with Survivor fans, and Jeff caught heat for posing the question in the first place. He responded to the backlash on the latest episode of the podcast, but he’s digging his hole even further by refusing to take a side.

Jeff Probst says he doesn’t have “an opinion” on if Parvati Shallow counts as a two-time Survivor winner

Jeff reacted to the controversy about Parvati’s two-time winner status during the November 19 episode of his podcast. It came after days of Survivor fans giving him grief over Jeremy’s comments. Specifically, Matt Rogers on the Las Culturiastas podcast called Jeff out by name, so he wanted to make it clear that it wasn’t him who called Parvati a “one and a half” winner.

“Somehow, Jeremy’s answer, his own opinion as a player, got attributed to me,” Jeff said. “And now I’m the one who said that Parvati’s win doesn’t count. I didn’t say it. I don’t even have an opinion.”

Jeff then went on to address the fans who felt upset that he asked the question in the first place. According to Jeff, it was just an innocent question.

“If you think that was a leading question and I was hoping Jeremy would answer that way, you don’t know me,” Jeff said.

He continued, “I have opinions. I state them all the time. I often regret them later. But I don’t have an opinion on this. I’ve never played. I couldn’t comment if it’s a worthy win or not.”

We’re not sure why it’s so hard to just give Parvati credit for winning the show twice. However, Jeff urged fans like Matt to call out Jeremy instead of him. He then went on to try to clean up the situation by saying that Parvati would be his “Mount Rushmore” of Survivor players. Still, we don’t think Parvati fans are going to forget about this one anytime soon…

Survivor airs on CBS every Wednesday at 8/7c.
