Travis Kelce and Jason reveal why this Thanksgiving dish is the worst
Travis and Jason Kelce agree that turkey is the worst Thanksgiving dish in a recent episode of New Heights. A fan revealed on a call, “I would like to give an extreme hot take cause ’tis the damn season. And that is that turkey is one of the worst dishes on Thanksgiving of all time.”
Jason immediately added, “Hard agree,” as the anonymous woman continued her rant against turkey. She stated, “It’s so dry, and people who like it just are weird.”
The former Philadelphia Eagles alum noted, “This is why I fry a turkey. It’s hard to eat turkey unless it’s deep-fried, and you know it’s boiled in fat grease.” The brothers agreed, and Jason revealed, “We purposely never had turkey. Mom would make pork chops or some other meat. I love most other things about Thanksgiving fare. I’m a big mashed potatoes guy. I’m a big corn guy.”
Furthermore, the 38-year-old praised his wife and mother’s incredible cooking skills. He confessed, “Kylie makes bada** green bean casserole, f*****g love that dish. Mama Kelce’s dinner rolls, like everything else about Thanksgiving, are so fantastic. And then it gets kinda muddled down for the most part. The way most people make it, a dry a** bird, you gotta slather gravy and cranberry sauce on to redeem anything about it.”
Travis chuckled and added his own take, “You gotta fry it, or you gotta be in that non-stop injecting it with, like, it.” However, Jason cut him off to add how to cook turkey on Thanksgiving. He quipped, “You gotta fry it, or you gotta f*****g spatchc**k that sucker.”
The Chiefs’ tight end shared, “You haven’t tried yet, is turducken. You gotta stuff that thing with a duck.” Jason agreed and confessed he’s “very in on it” before adding, “The premise of it sounds incredible.”
Fans filled the comment section with their thoughts on how to cook the Thanksgiving staple, turkey, correctly.
