Meghan Markle’s acting comeback has reportedly raised questions about her relationship with her husband, Prince Harry. According to a source, her returning to her old career might be a “backup” solution in case of divorce. She has recently filmed a cameo for an upcoming rom-com movie, “Close Personal Friends,” alongside stars like Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Brie Larson. The Duchess of Sussex was last seen in the popular legal drama, “Suits.”
Meghan Markle’s acting career ‘could be her attempt to gain independence,’ per source
Meghan Markle will reportedly focus on her acting career and is set to make her comeback with an Amazon MGM project. A source told RadarOnline that returning to acting might be her attempt to “gain independence in case they pull the trigger on their marriage.” This came after reports of marriage trouble rumors with Prince Harry took over the internet.
The outlet reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were clashing over their children. They were allegedly not on the same page over how much they should expose their kids to social media. “Harry is upset about it because, obviously, he grew up in the spotlight. He knows what it’s like,” the insider claimed.
Their alleged feud has seemingly raised questions about their relationship. Hence, sources predicted that Markle might be taking her acting career seriously to have a “backup plan” in case of divorce. “It could be her saying, ‘I need to go back to my roots. I need to go back to my own kind of thing,’” they added.
The 44-year-old rose to fame with her role of Rachel Zane in the hit legal TV drama, “Suits.” She worked on the series from 2011 to 2018 before tying the knot with Prince Harry. At the time, she said in a 2022 interview that she won’t return to acting. But, she continued to be part of documentaries and had her own Netflix show — “With Love, Meghan.”
Now, she will make a comeback with Amazon MGM’s “Close Personal Friends.” According to an earlier report, an insider stated that the duchess was “relaxed and happy” on set.
