Former Real Housewives of Orange County detective Meghan King has been in the headlines lately. And that’s not a good thing. She recently lost custody of her three kids to her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds.
Before the custody change, Meghan also found her name splashed around for allegedly entering Jim and his wife, Kortnie Edmonds’ home, without their permission. While Meghan was reportedly trying to drop off a dress for her daughter, she asked to speak with Aspen. After Kortnie said that her daughter was out and told Meghan to leave, the RHOC alum stayed put. Meanwhile, Kortnie called the police, and Meghan denied entering the home.
Jim Edmonds took to Instagram to celebrate Thanksgiving after Meghan King lost custody of their children
Recently, Jim shared a carousel of photos via Instagram to celebrate the season. He captioned the post, “What a week! A lot to be Thankful for @kortnieoc.” The photos included a group snap of Jim and Kortnie with his three children with Meghan: daughter Aspen and sons Hart and Hayes.
Plus, Aspen’s birthday celebration was also documented. Photos of the decorations and a table with covered gifts, as well as Aspen’s Taylor Swift-themed cake, were part of the carousel that Jim posted. The cake, with the names of Taylor’s songs and albums, as well as an “87” as a shout-out to the singer’s fiancé, Travis Kelce’s football number, was spectacular. Other snaps included the kids playing outside and Aspen holding a group of pink balloons.
As expected, given the situation, the comments were mixed. “I bet Aspen would have loved her mother there too,” one user wrote. Another follower commented, “You guys are doing a great job, the kids look like they are having a magical childhood.”
Reportedly, a school employee contacted Child Protective Services, initiating the investigation that led to Meghan temporarily losing custody. There is a hearing in December to decide a permanent custody arrangement.
