British Broker Jessica Taylor flies high above the drama, as seen in Season 1 of Owning Manhattan. But will she present the same in Season 2? Well, according to the trailer for Season 2, that answer is a massive NO.

To explain, in the first few scenes, the normally conflict-free Jess admits that she feels “mad” about at least one decision made this season. Then, we see Jess turning to another agent, arguing, “You didn’t call us.” Right after, two male agents flanking her sides engage in a heated conversation that threatens to turn physical, right as their boss, Ryan Serhant, yells, “STOP, For f*cks sake.” Then, the camera pans to show Jess in a conference room with these agents, all of whom are receiving another tongue-lashing from Ryan.

Ahead of Owning Manhattan Season 2, Reality Tea got Jess on the line. And, as she admitted, her emotions will indeed be a bit more authentic this season. However, the teased firing that we all saw in the trailer, well, that storyline might not land as we all expect.

This season, Jess is getting real with the cameras

In Season 1, Jess kept her emotions mostly in check. Yet, in the trailer for Season 2, we see Jess approaching filming from a different angle. So, what made Jess decide to show more of her emotions this season?

“To be totally transparent, Season 1 was difficult because I’m not used to being on camera. I wasn’t an actress. I worked in finance and then real estate. It was never really my dream to be on TV.”

But now that she is, “It’s been amazing, but still, being on camera wasn’t natural to me. In Season 1, I was trying to navigate how I wanted to come across, but I was in an environment that wasn’t necessarily so natural for me. So, in Season 2, I’m more comfortable with the cameras and pretending they’re not there, while just trying to show who I actually am.”

What dramatic storylines might befall Jess and her costars during Owning Manhattan Season 2?

In the trailer for Owning Manhattan Season 2, we see Jess at odds with Genesis Suero. What can Jess reveal about their feud?

“It has something to do with a client. I’m just standing up for my business and my integrity within the business and how we conduct ourselves as agents.”

Elsewhere in the trailer, we see Jess admitting that something made her “mad.” What is the storyline behind this statement?

“I don’t know how much we’re allowed to say, but it’s to do with a big new project at the company. They allude to it in the trailer because there’s this gentleman who comes over from Corcoran, and it is all tied into that.”

As for the other storylines this season, this cast is massive, so she is in the dark on certain aspects. But, as Jess explained, when you are in this business, “heated exchanges” often arise. “You know, you can work for years and not make any money. So when there is money on the line, the potential to make money, it becomes even more competitive” amongst the agents.

Regarding her relationship with Chloe Tucker Caine, Jess admits that the viewers will “definitely see a change in our dynamic and our friendship” in Season 2. She also confessed that we will see her “crying at least once in Season 2, if not multiple times,” because “The thing that makes me successful and makes Ryan successful and all of the people who are at the top of their games successful is that we are always available. And with that, you are quick to burn out and massive breakdowns.”

But on that firing we overheard in the trailer, Jess notes, “I think it’s not gonna be what you think it’s gonna be.”

From challenging properties and sales, alongside a rising boom in the luxury market, Jess will experience it all

Ryan tends to give Jess his hardest properties and clients. She has the patience to work out difficult things. For example, in Season 1, she had a client who needed privacy and zero prying neighbors, which is hard to find in Manhattan. So, does she have any challenging properties or clients in Season 2?

“I have an expensive property that is a unique sale, so it’s not for everyone.” But this season, “you’re going to see me more with the sales side rather than the buyer side. You’re going to see a few apartments that I have on the market for sale, and they all have their unique aspects to them.”

Also, with her pricey listing, “there are some big-ticket items on it.” Likewise, “You’re going to see a big change in how my day-to-day gets structured in Season 2. I’m not as involved with Ryan as I was in Season 1.”

Thankfully, Jess will still have her hands busy, now more than ever. As Jess explained, “No matter what side you’re on, there was a lot of noise about the [mayoral] election, but actually in the weeks coming up to the election and the weeks post, we’ve actually had our strongest reports in the luxury market space, which is four million and above.”

Consider us eager for December 5. On this date, all eight episodes of Owning Manhattan Season 2 drop on Netflix.
