Season 23 of Variety’s “Actors on Actors” kicks off with a star-studded interview featuring Adam Sandler and Ariana Grande. The much-awaited episode drops today, December 5, on CNN at 9 a.m. ET and Variety’s YouTube channel at 3 p.m. ET.

The thrilling interview features the dynamic duo, fresh from their latest projects, Jay Kelly (Adam Sandler) and Wicked: For Good (Ariana Grande) dive into candid conversations. One of the topics steers Adam Sandler into revealing his most-played artist.

Much to Ariana’s surprise, the Grown Up actor shared that her music rules his car playlist. Sandler admitted to blasting her tunes, especially “Thank U, Next,” while driving with his daughters. The confession followed Ariana’s statement, “I’ve grown up worshipping all of our movies”. In his response, the Hollywood star thanked the singer before saying, “In the car, we crank a lot of Ariana.”

A beaming Ariana thanks Adam, who kept the praises coming. The 59-year-old further shared he asked his daughters for song requests from the 7 Rings singer. “They screamed like 50 different songs at me”, he said.

The warm exchange between two of Hollywood’s finest has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter).
