Sarah Ferguson’s Snub From Prince William’s Wedding Resurfaces

Sarah Ferguson’s old interview talking about Prince William’s wedding snub has recently resurfaced. A few months ago, she and ex-Prince Andrew were stripped of their titles. They also reportedly had to leave their forever home, Royal Lodge, where the two lived together, even after their divorce. Amid the chaos, Ferguson’s throwback BBC interview by Oprah Winfrey has been making headlines after more than a decade.

Sarah Ferguson claimed Prince William’s wedding snub made her feel ‘worthless’ in an old interview

Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor separated in 1996, but started living together once again after a few years. They stayed at Royal Lodge with their two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. Recently, the family has undergone a difficult time due to the ex-Duke of York’s past scandals. Amid the controversies, an old interview with Ferguson resurfaced.

In 2011, Prince William and Kate Middleton got married, surrounded by royal family members and a long list of guests. However, the 66-year-old author was not invited, which made her feel “worthless,” as quoted by The Express in an old interview. Originally, she revealed it during a BBC interview to host Oprah Winfrey later that year. She claimed that not receiving the royal invite was “difficult.”

“I wanted to be there with my girls and to- and to be getting them dressed and to go as a family,” she said. Reportedly, she had talked with her ex-husband and daughters the morning of the royal wedding. They allegedly made her feel that she was “part of the day.” That being said, she admitted that the royal family’s decision not to send her an invitation was “quite right.”

It came after Ferguson was reportedly caught making an offer to a reporter in order to sell “access” to Andrew for a huge payout. “I felt that I ostracized myself by my behaviour, by the past, by living with all the regrets of my mistakes,” the mother of two had claimed.

Meanwhile, instead of William and Kate’s wedding, the ex-duchess revealed that she went to Thailand.
