Layla Taylor was one of the quieter cast members on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. However, she has come into her own during Season 3 of the show. She was open about her struggles with an eating disorder and dealing with mental health issues.
While Layla may be the youngest MomTok member, she is also divorced. She and Clayton Wessel, who share two children, have finalized their divorce. As you may recall, Layla hit pause on dating for a bit. Then, she coupled up with Chase McWhorter’s brother, Mason McWhorter. And yes, Layla also dated Chase, who was formerly married to SLOMW co-star Miranda McWhorter.
Layla Taylor and ex-husband Clayton Wessell have finalized their divorce
US Weekly reported that Layla and Clayton’s divorce judgment was entered on May 28th. The former couple will have joint physical and legal custody of their children, Oliver and Maxwell. Meanwhile, Layla will receive $832 monthly in child support. Her monthly income in social media marketing was listed as $5,000, while Clayton brings home around $10,000 per month as a salesperson.
Neither Clayton nor Layla will receive alimony. Plus, they will each keep their retirement and bank accounts. And Clayton was awarded a 2022 Hyundai Elantra.
According to court papers, the parties were told not to speak of ill each other in front of their children, or in emails or texts. In addition, neither Layla nor Clayton can use “illegal drugs or drugs that have not been legally prescribed to them and shall not exceed the dosage on any prescription medication.” The former couple is also prohibited from drinking alcohol in the presence of their kids.
During Season 3 of SLOMW, Layla was more vocal and was an integral part of bringing the affair allegations about Marciano Brunette, Demi Engemann, and Jessi Ngatikaura to light.
