Taylor Swift Breaks Down After Dodging ‘Massacre’ in New Docuseries

Taylor Swift still seems shaken by some disturbing incidents during her Eras Tour. The pop superstar cancelled several shows due to two infamous moments. Three men were arrested following a terrorist plot, with the CIA claiming the intention was to kill tens of thousands of people in Austria in August 2024. A month before that, three children were stabbed to death during a Taylor Swift-themed event in Southport in the UK.

Taylor spoke about it all in a newly released docuseries and became very emotional while reflecting. “Like, we dodged a massacre situation, and so I’ve just been kind of all over the place,” said Taylor. Her tour began in March 2023 before concluding in December of the following year.

Her sixth concert tour was a massive success, but Taylor is still haunted by what happened in the summer of 2024. In the new docuseries, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era on Disney+, the singer reflected on what transpired in Vienna. “So, never in my life did I think we would have a terrorist plot,” she said.

Sadly, that wasn’t the only disturbing moment that happened while she was on the road. In July, 2024 the tragic stabbing took place in Southport. Taylor says she reached out to the victims’ families after the incident to express her condolences. Season 2 of her documentary The Swift Effect were revealed in September.

Looking back on that moment left her in tears and made it hard for her to explain it all. She says that, in her career, which spans over two decades, the fear of something bad happening to her fans is a new challenge. In January Axel Rudakubanapled was sentenced to 52 years in prison in relation to the stabbing attack. He pleaded guilty to the 16 charges against him. Judge Julian Goose called it the most extreme, shocking and exceptionally serious crime.

The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing tour of all time and the first to gross over $1 billion. Taylor’s six-episode docuseries is now streaming on Disney+.
