His eldest son may not be her biggest fan, but it appears the King still has fond memories of Meghan Markle. During a Christmas event at Clarence House on Thursday, King Charles and his wife, Camilla, displayed family photos.
Among them were Prince Louis’ christening and other moments involving his children and grandkids. There was one notable photo from 2018 that was displayed in a highly publicized event for both Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry.
King Charles walked Meghan Markle down the aisle

Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding was widely discussed and drew plenty of attention. It’s evidently a time the King still treasures. During a children’s gathering this week, a framed picture of Charles and Meghan from 2018 could be seen. The photo showed Charles linking arms with his future daughter-in-law. It was Charles who stepped in just before the wedding to walk her down the aisle. This came after it was discovered her estranged father, Thomas Markle, wouldn’t be there.
At 77, in what appears to be his declining health. The King is perhaps reflecting more on the special times in his life. Charles is currently fighting cancer, something an insider in August called “a losing battle.”
The King reconciled with his son, Harry, for the first time in over a year during a meeting in September. His sons, Prince William and Harry, have been estranged for years, with the latter and Meghan stepping away from royal duties in 2020.
The rarely seen photos of Harry and Meghan’s wedding at Clarence House came days after Meghan’s dad had to get his leg amputated. A blood clot had reportedly cut off his circulation. There are reports that when William becomes King, he might remove his brother’s title as Prince and Meghan’s as Duchess of Sussex.
