Tracy, also an actor who appeared in A League of Their Own, said, “I came from the greatest family ever. I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”

The couple’s son, Nick, was arrested late Sunday in connection with the double murder. Further, according to online Los Angeles County jail records, he is being held on a $4 million bond.

Rob and Michele have two other children, son Jake and daughter Romy. In an unfortunate moment, Romy discovered the couple after the stabbing and called 911. Consequently, she implicated her brother Nick in the crime, saying he “should be a suspect” and that he was “dangerous.” In the past, Nick has also struggled with substance addiction.

Sunday’s police press conference did not immediately identify Rob and Michele as the victims.

Nick’s addiction inspired the 2015 film, Being Charlie. It details a teenager’s relationship with his actor turned politician father, who forces his son into rehab. Rob directed the film, which Nick co-wrote.

Rob first appeared on the incredibly popular 70s sitcom All in the Family as Mike Stivic. Amid that role, he also received two Emmy awards. As a director and producer of many diverse films, Rob had a big body of work. Likewise, his film, A Few Good Men, received four Oscar nominations.
