After her 29th birthday, Hailee Steinfeld shared a roundup of her 29 most favourite moments from this year in a Substack newsletter published on December 13. In the same newsletter, she shared a video announcing her pregnancy. During an interview with Associated Press on December 17, Josh Allen said he was “overjoyed, absolutely overjoyed” about his wife’s pregnancy.
In October’s “Monday Night Football” interview, when Allen was asked what Steinfeld had taught him, he paused before replying, “Maybe I am more than a football player.” At the time, many found the comment curious. During his conversation with the Associated Press, he shared that he had learned of the pregnancy long before October’s interview. He also confirmed that the news had factored into his answer back then.
In the video Steinfeld shared, Allen kneeled to kiss her baby bump. The “Hawkeye” actress sported a sweater that read, “mother.” At the end of the clip, the soon-to-be parents held hands as they stood in front of a tiny snowman. Soon after announcing the news through the newsletter, they also shared a joint Instagram post featuring the clip. Allen commented, “I love you,” followed by a red heart.
“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown wrote, “OH MY GODDDDD HAILS!!!!!” Supermodel Gigi Hadid also took to the comments to share her excitement, writing, “Omg yaaaaaayyyy.” The couple also received congratulatory messages from celebrities, including Hailey Bieber, Sophie Turner, and Taylor Lautner. Official pages of major brands and organisations such as Victoria’s Secret, MTV, the NFL, and the Buffalo Bills also congratulated them.
