GMA Hosts Could Change Amid Ratings Fiasco — Source

GMA hosts could reportedly be replaced with new faces after ratings fiasco. According to a source, ABC’s “Good Morning America” allegedly held a “crisis meeting” due to losing its rank. Reportedly, they lost their No.1 rating position to NBC’s “Today.” As GMA was dropped from the long-held rank, the insider claimed that the executives and hosts have been in an “absolute meltdown mode.”

Good Morning America hosts are ‘no longer untouchable,’ claims source

“Good Morning America” or GMA hosts would reportedly be affected by the ratings fiasco. A source told RadarOnline that long-time presenters, including Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, would be “no longer untouchable.” Producers could allegedly “reshuffle” anchors and might opt for a “new editorial direction.”

As per the insider, they might try new things to revive the show, which could allegedly include hiring “fresh, younger energy.” “If leadership wants a shake‑up, nobody is safe,” they said, referring to reportedly replacing the hosts’ jobs.

While GMA seemed to be having a tough time, “Today” show’s staff have allegedly been celebrating. “GMA didn’t just lose. They handed Today the crown,” an NBC insider shared. On the other hand, the outlet reported that ABC seemingly pointed out that “Good Morning America” was absent from YouTube for three weeks. Reportedly, the network blamed this move as the reason behind the massive dip in ratings.

Meanwhile, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos have been the star hosts of the show for decades. While Roberts started as a reporter in 1995, her co-anchor joined in 2009. The duo has been the face of GMA for a long time.

Before the rating drop drama, GMA made headlines as sources claimed a spotlight war between meteorologist Ginger Zee and host Lara Spencer. They alleged that the two ladies seemingly acted “territorial” at work, leaving their seniors in a difficult position. “Lara and Ginger both want story ownership,” an insider claimed.
