Donald and Melania Trump Have “Little Interaction Between Them” — Source

Donald and Melania Trump allegedly lead separate lives for the most part, according to various sources. While they do occasionally come together for various White House events and the holidays, bonding with one another over a common hobby, insiders say that they have largely distinct schedules. Sources describe a relationship where the presidential couple is seen together when it is “expected” before they return to their separate routines.

Melania Trump ‘leads her own life’ away from Donald, source says

A source speaking with PEOPLE says that Donald and Melania Trump don’t see each other often apart from a few public appearances.

“There is little interaction between them, just what is expected,” the source said. “Then they go back to doing their own thing.”

This corroborates a comment made by a separate source who said that while the couple spend their time between the White House and Mar-A-Lago, Melania “leads her own life and joins him when appropriate.” Even when the first lady stays at the resort in Palm Beach, she usually “keeps to herself” and only has dinner with Donald Trump “on occasion.”

Another insider notes that the couple did kiss each other at a New Year’s Eve party at Mar-A-Lago, though Donald Trump looked exhausted. “Melania was happy and enjoying the night while the president looked bored and tired,” the insider shared, “but was nice to the guests and wishing them well.”

In December last year, Donald Trump admitted that he had no idea what Melania was doing when she asked lawmakers for their support at the annual Congressional Ball, per People. The first lady revealed that she had a “new legislative initiative in 2026” and that some of the guests already knew about it. When Donald returned to the podium, he said, “Well, I just heard about that for the first time.”

Melania is reportedly less than thrilled with her husband’s construction of a ballroom at The White House.
