When it comes to on-screen intimacy, Jennifer Lawrence has a particular type. The Academy Award-winning actress says it’s easier for her to perform sex scenes with people she doesn’t know.
The Silver Linings Playbook co-star had an intimate scene with Robert Pattinson in the movie Die My Love. Not knowing him beforehand made it easier for her to perform that scene. If she had it her way, though, Jennifer says she’d prefer getting sex scenes out of the way early when filming a new movie.
Jennifer Lawrence prefers sex scenes with strangers to those with friends

Perhaps due to fear of future awkwardness, Jennifer doesn’t like doing sex scenes with people she knows. During a recent conversation about her film Die My Love, the Joy star believes there’s far more realism, and it’s much simpler to do a sex scene with a stranger.
She added, however, that such scenes can at times be embarrassing, noting a tiger scene with Robert in Die My Love. She says that when she had to get naked for a scene with him, it could have been something worse, like interpretive dance.
Anxiety over many things is something Jennifer has suffered from plenty of times throughout her life. In November, she said she dealt with postpartum anxiety following the birth of her second child with husband Cooke Maroney. This was on par with the similar feeling she had when her first child was born.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has suffered her share of bumps and bruises on movie sets. In October, she said her Hunger Games co-star Sam Claflin smacked her in the bum cheek. Jennifer will be a part of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which comes out in November 2026.
Die My Love came out in theatres in November and has grossed just over $11 million at the box office. It was nominated for a Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival last year.
