Julio Iglesias is under close scrutiny by prosecutors in Spain. The singer and songwriter is currently under investigation after two female employees accused him of sexual assault. His accusers claim the incidents occurred while working for the Grammy Award winner at his home in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas in 2021.
The allegations are that Julio pressured them into sexual encounters while also abusing them physically and verbally. According to prosecutors, they got word of a complaint against him last week.

Julio’s status as a national treasure in Spain may have taken a hit. Spanish news outlet elDiario.es reported on the matter. One of Julio’s apparent victims claimed that he would allegedly digitally penetrate their anus and vagina without her consent. “He used me almost every night. I felt like an object, like a slave,” said the alleged victim.
The victims claim that there was inappropriate touching and insults from the Spanish singer. Julio is currently married to Miranda Rijnsburger, with the singer and Dutch model tying the knot in 2010. Julio has eight kids from his two marriages, including music superstar Enrique Iglesias. Enrique and wife, Anna Kournikova, recently announced a new addition to their family. Their fourth child was born in December.
His father is a household name and a beloved figure in Spain. Julio has sold over 300 million records as a singer. Those have sold worldwide in 14 different languages. His last album, México & Amigos, came out in 2017. Julio has had approximately over 5,000 concerts, reaching over 60 million people across six continents.
One of the bestselling Latin artists of all time was inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013. He has had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame since 1985. He has also previously been awarded the Legion of Honour in France.
