If you’ve got an Erica Kane-shaped hole in your life, then listen up. Soap opera actress Susan Lucci just hinted that she could reprise her legendary role, teasing the return of All My Children, which has been off the air since 2013.
All My Children could return, says Susan Lucci
Speaking on the Soapy podcast this week, Susan opened up about her time as Erica, who was a staple character across All My Children’s four decades on TV.
“I miss the character, of course,” the 78-year-old said, going on to describe her as “spectacular.”
“And I miss being part of that fantastic team,” Susan added of her co-stars, which included Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, to name a few. “I remember walking into the building, I was always very happy walking into the building and going to my dressing room and seeing everybody.”
“I miss that very much,” she went on.
Luckily for Susan, she might not have to miss it for much longer. She said on the podcast that All My Children could one day return for a reboot. “It’s been bubbling for several years,” she said of the show’s possible return. “And then, just when I think that it probably isn’t bubbling anymore, it’s bubbling. It’s bubbling as we speak.”
Like us, fans were really excited by Susan’s comments. “Bring back All My Children. That would be a real treat!!” someone replied on YouTube. “I miss Erica Kane every day,” added another.
“I miss All My Children to this day!” a third fan agreed. “Erica was so much fun to watch, and Susan Lucci is a class act.”
But, this isn’t the first time Susan has teased the return of All My Children. “There has been movement,” she previously told PEOPLE. “I wish it was a quicker movement, but yes, everything in terms of being in the right hands.”
“It’s really interesting, and the concept is so good,” she continued. “I’m really hoping that this is going to actually go forward.”
