Danny Booko and his wife, Nia Sanchez Booko, seemed like the perfect couple on Bravo’s The Valley. The duo, who now have four children under four, have showcased their parenting and family dynamic on the series. However, unlike other couples on the show, Danny and Nia rarely argued in front of the cameras. That rare quality seems to have gone by the wayside during Season 3.
Still, the duo endured a rocky second season. Cast members called out Danny’s behavior when he was drinking. During a Halloween party, “Dark-Side Danny” told co-star Jasmine Goode, “Go get daddy a drink,” and touched her thigh. In addition, during a cast trip, Janet Caperna accused Danny of hiding in the pantry to drink.
Then, Danny missed dinner that evening because he was allegedly passed out. Or sleeping. Kristen Doute’s fiancé, Luke Broderick, defended Danny, claiming that he was tired from commuting back from work. Still, the cast was familiar with Danny’s shadowy alter-ego, and Dark-Side Danny made a Season 3 return. Let’s break down the reasons why Danny is the villain of The Valley Season 3.
Danny Booko’s experienced a fall from grace on The Valley Season 3

Danny should be living his best life during Season 3. His family moved to Santa Clarita, where he always wanted to live. Plus, he has a brood of kids and a lovely wife. However, Danny’s behavior this season seemed off.
During the cast trip to San Diego, when Nia asked her husband to hold their infant daughter, Adelaide, for a moment, he looked annoyed. The group was on a safari ride, and Nia was worried that the baby would be too hot. “Why are you laughing?” Nia asked Danny.
“A lot going on,” the actor replied as he gazed at the animals. It turns out that Danny was upset because they flew a nanny out for the trip to help care for their baby. And while Nia still wanted to be with their daughter, Danny felt frustrated.
In addition, during Season 3, whenever Nia expressed how she felt overwhelmed and exhausted, Danny wasn’t very empathetic. Some fans were disappointed by Danny’s lack of support for his wife and her emotions.
After all, Nia was still post-partum and trying to take care of their four children. Mostly, Danny seemed concerned with his own thoughts and feelings, and shut down his wife’s attempts to communicate.
Danny is treating wife Nia Sanchez Booko terribly
Danny’s disrespectful behavior towards Nia escalated while the cast was getting ready for the drag pageant. That’s right – Danny went to the dark side because he was obsessed with winning. “We’re here to win,” he told an increasingly flustered Nia.
“I feel like you’re being really critical,” his wife replied, “and it’s really hard for me to function.” However, Danny became more intense. “This is your project. I don’t lose,” Danny fired back. When Nia put the long, blonde wig on his head, Danny exclaimed, “Get it done. And give it a trim!”
Finally, it was too much for Lala Kent to bear, and she intervened. However, Danny continued to pick at Nia. Plus, Jesse Lally noted in his confessional that Danny had been drinking and admitted that he was “definitely ordering her around, definitely being aggressive.”
Later, as Nia was helping Danny with his runway walk, she told him how much she appreciated his “shift in energy.” Hold that thought, Nia. “Don’t talk to me like that,” Danny replied.
In her confessional, Nia shared, “I keep getting more frustrated with the way that Daniel is speaking to me, and I don’t know why he doesn’t get it.” The next morning, Danny acknowledged what happens when he has too much to drink. “If I have had one too many, my fuse can be shorter, and I can be snappy,” he explained in his confessional. I don’t think “snappy” adequately describes Danny’s behavior.
Lala Kent was triggered by Danny’s behavior

Lala saw how Danny spoke to Nia while she was helping him get prepped for the drag pageant. “It’s making me feel very uncomfortable the way you’re talking to her,” the Vanderpump Rules alum explained. “It’s making me very triggered.” She added, “It sounds aggressive and disrespectful.”
Later on, when Lala ran into Danny again, he said his drag name was “Miss Triggered.” Of course, Lala called Danny’s comment “disrespectful.” The situation went from bad to worse when someone called for Lala.
“She’s triggered!” Danny told Jesse. “Hey, Daniel, f*cking knock it off, dog. You were being aggressive and disrespectful to your wife, so I shut it down,” Lala said.
“So, you’re in my marriage?” Danny asked. Then, Lala said what some fans were no doubt thinking. “I would hate to see how you talk to her behind closed doors.”
When Nia entered the room, she urged Danny to listen to Lala as she shared her feelings. “You don’t have the right to do that,” he told Lala. Once again, the situation was all about Danny.
There is still time for Danny to turn this season around. If he treats Nia and his co-stars with more respect, he could drop his title as Season 3’s villain.
The Valley is available to stream on Peacock.
