Teen Mom alum Farrah Abraham has just announced her latest career move. Up next, Farrah plans to throw her hat in the ring as the next mayor of Austin, Texas. The only problem is that there are no mayoral elections in Austin in 2026. But maybe she’s just excited for a potential 2028 run?
Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham could be headed into politics

In general, we aren’t sure what’s going on here. But earlier today, Farrah posted about her mayoral candidacy in Austin. However, her post is now MIA. Yet, her Instagram account still links to other sources, and these sources confirm that she does intend to run for office in her city.
As for the links within, Farrah’s campaign already has a website, although it isn’t fully built out as of yet. For now, it only features AI-generated images, alongside various stock photos. Regardless, US Weekly managed to capture the words on Farrah’s currently missing post, and this is what Farrah reportedly announced.
As this source notes, Farrah penned, “Austin, my story isn’t just a headline; it’s the blueprint for Austin’s 2026 transformation. Let’s Keep Austin Weird. Keep Austin Fair, Vote Farrah Abraham for Austin Mayor 2026!”
Farrah then discussed the six pillars of her movement. They were: “1. Family Planning for All — Brighter futures start here. 2. Modern Workers Act — Your home, your dreams,” she explained. “3. Veteran Bridge Program — Support when you need it. 4. Safety & Policy First — Every zip code matters. 5. Abraham’s Survivor-First Pilot — Your voice, your truth. 6. Senior Housing ATX Cares — Safe, dignified living.”
Her post ended with a call to “Join the conversation, let’s shape Austin’s future! GO LONGHORNS! AND GOD BLESS AUSTIN, TEXAS,” followed by hashtags to help promote her next steps.
Teen Mom is streaming on Paramount+.
