The players of Survivor typically have one goal — to outwit and outlast the other contestants. But they also have another goal in mind, and that’s to ensure they’re entertaining Survivor host and producer Jeff Probst. Survivor veteran Cirie Fields shares why most contestants on the reality show are concerned with ensuring Jeff likes them.
Cirie Fields says she knows Survivor host Jeff Probst “loves” her

Fans of the show are very excited for the upcoming special Survivor 50 season. This special season celebrates the 25th anniversary of the show and gives the fans a chance to participate more than ever before. The cast for this landmark season brings together fan favorites aiming for another shot at the big prize.
One of the returning players is Cirie. Cirie has competed in Survivor four times since 2012. Sadly, she hasn’t walked away with the win yet, but she’s hoping to change that. Since her Survivor stint, Cirie has also competed in other shows, including The Traitors and Big Brother.
But Survivor, of course, has a special place in her heart. She knows that the beloved host of the game loves her, and she strives to make him proud. Cirie shared with Vanity Fair why the players of Survivor want to make sure they impress Jeff and deliver great, dramatic TV.
“We don’t want to disappoint him,” Cirie said. ‘We want to make him proud because he chose us. And we always want to be chosen by Jeff.” She makes a good point. Jeff has been very involved in reviewing and selecting contestants for the show over the years. He first chose Cirie 20 years ago when she was working as a registered nurse and raising her kids.
Besides wanting to be chosen by Jeff, Cirie also has another motivation for wanting to make the host proud. She considers him family, too. “I don’t care what nobody says, I know Jeff loves me. I can feel that Jeff loves me,” she shared.
Survivor is available to stream on Paramount+.
