A guest at the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham has spoken out about the family drama. In particular, they addressed the wedding dance allegations everyone’s been talking about. Brooklyn, who has been married to Nicola Pltz Beckham since 2022, released a shocking statement on January 19.
In the six-part statement, Brooklyn confirmed long-running rumors of animosity with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” Brooklyn wrote.

After his wedding, Brooklyn adopted the name Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, as a way to honor his new wife. One moment that caught the eye of many readers was when Brooklyn revealed an embarrassing moment during what was meant to be his first dance. He also accused Lady Beckham of “hijacking” their first dance, to a song performed by family friend Marc Anthony.
Brooklyn allegedly was called to the stage, “my mum was waiting to dance with me,” instead of Nicola, and “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone”. “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” he added. Since then, the dance incident has been widely subject to memes online.
Stavros Agapiou, a guest at the wedding, added fuel to the fire in an Instagram post. Stavros attended the wedding with his boyfriend, British DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the reception.
“I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth,” Agapiou reportedly wrote in an Instagram comment.
The comments have since been deleted, but before being taken down. Stavros also allegedly added, “Good on him for finally speaking out!”
