Victoria Beckham Breaks Social Media Silence After Brooklyn’s Explosive Wedding Claims

Victoria Beckham has spoken on Instagram for the first time since her son Brooklyn Beckham’s allegations about their relationship. In a six-part Instagram story announcement, Brooklyn said he will not reconcile with his mother or his father, David Beckham, over their alleged hostility towards his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, in the run-up to their wedding.

Brooklyn accused his parents of putting “Brand Beckham” and their social media image above their family’s needs, while freezing out his wife. One particularly shocking claim included his mother dancing “inappropriately on” the groom during what was meant to be his first dance.

Posting on Instagram Stories, Victoria wished a happy birthday to her former Spice Girls bandmate, Emma Bunton. Emma, also known as Baby Spice, turned 50 years old on January 21. Like her name suggests, Baby is the youngest of the group.

“Happy birthday @emmaleebunton,” Victoria wrote. Known as Posh Spice, Victoria shared a photo of the pair from the group’s 90’s heyday, with her giving Emma a piggyback ride. “I love you so much!!’

As for a statement regarding Brooklyn’s bombshell claims, Victoria is keeping mum on the subject (get it? “mum”?). However, David was interviewed by CNBC just hours after his son posted the Instagram Story.

“I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media … for the good and for the bad,” David said. The former footballer was attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He was there to discuss his views on ethical social media use, rather than going on air to address the allegations made against him.

In the interview, David admitted social media “can be dangerous” but that he tries to ensure he uses it for “the right reasons”. One comment was seen as a potential response to his son’s new claims.

“I have tried to do the same with my children, to educate them. They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes,” he added. “That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids, you sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.”
