Spoiler alert: After weeks of accusations and finger-pointing, Ron Funches was finally banished in the latest episode of The Traitors. He had a rough go in the castle, but apparently, we only saw a fraction of it. The actor and comedian claims that Dorinda Medley put him through hell and said “terrible” things about him in Season 4. It just didn’t make it into the final edit.
Ron Funches claims Dorinda Medley made “deeply personal” and “outside of gameplay” comments
Fresh off his elimination in The Traitors Season 4 Episode 6, Ron took to social media to get a few things off his chest. First, he opened up about how his experience on the show, along with feedback from people watching at home, helped him recognize that he could be autistic. He’s currently waiting on an official diagnosis.
With that in mind, a Traitors fan took to Threads and called out Dorinda’s criticism of Ron’s gameplay. On the show, we saw the Real Housewives of New York star vocalize her concerns that Ron wasn’t connecting with the other players on a personal level. She felt convinced that his behavior was either that of a Traitor or just flat-out rude.
“Dorinda’s comments about how @ronfunch plays the game hits harder now knowing that Ron has autism,” a Traitors fan wrote. “Kind of another example how unconscious biases run rampant on reality TV.”
That’s when Ron came in with some major accusations against Dorinda. According to him, there was much more to their dynamic, and it sounds like it could have crossed a line.
“Oh she has conscious bias,” Ron wrote on Threads. “She said some truly terrible things to me but since they were deeply personal and outside of gameplay they were never shown. Just me blowing up at her ‘out of nowhere.’”
Ron didn’t elaborate on the “deeply personal” things that Dorinda supposedly said to him. However, this extra bit of context could help explain the sudden animosity between the two of them at the latest roundtables. Perhaps we’ll get more tea on their situation when they sit down for the Season 4 reunion.
