Robert Pattinson is famously known for his mysterious and brooding roles. However, his life at home is quite different. The 39-year-old actor recently shared a rare glimpse into his life as a father of one. He shares a 22-month-old daughter with his fiancée, Suki Waterhouse. In a candid interview, Pattinson revealed that his little one is a big fan of his work. Despite her young age, she has already explored much of his filmography.
Robert Pattinson does this when he is not ‘getting any respect’ when toddler is watching his movies
Even global superstars struggle to impress their children. Recently, Robert Pattinson joked that he often turns to his own movies to gain some authority at home. “Oh, she has seen so many of them already,” he quipped during the interview with GQ. He explained that when he feels he is not “getting any respect” from the toddler, he uses his onscreen presence to remind her who is the boss at home.
The actor shared a funny story about trying to get her to recognize him. He will point at the television and ask, “Who’s this? Who’s that on the screen?” Unfortunately, his daughter usually responds with a “blank stare.” Pattinson doesn’t give up easily, though. He joked that he even tries to give her hints. “I’m like, ‘It begins with a D! Ends with a Y!'” he told the magazine.
Beyond his older films, the toddler is already watching his upcoming sci-fi movie, “Mickey 17.” Pattinson admitted that he wasn’t always the “biggest fan of kids before” becoming a dad. He used to simply “tolerate” them.
Now, he finds fatherhood to be “the most fun thing” and “absolutely wonderful.” He also mentioned that being away from her for long causes him “physical pain.” It seems that while the actor might not always get the respect he wants, he is completely smitten with his daughter.
