It’s been four years since Meghan Markle last spent time in the UK, though her husband, Prince Harry, has visited several times for work. He’s been caught up with security issues for his family, should they decide to come over to the UK … but that won’t be the only problem. Per an insider, Meghan is currently feeling friction with another senior royal.
Queen Camilla “is a different story” for Meghan Markle
A Radar Online source claimed Meghan will not “play nice” with Queen Camilla if she ever returns to Britain.
“Meghan is willing to be conciliatory and take the high road with a lot of people,” the source said. “But Camilla is a different story.”
The insider continued: “Meghan made a real effort with Camilla back when she was still living in the UK. But she’s way past playing nice and kissing up to her; she has seen that gets her nowhere.”
The insider went on to say that Meghan won’t “start a scene” with Camilla. But, she won’t “pretend everything is fine” either.
“If Camilla wants to keep playing dirty, Meghan is ready to hit back,” they added.
As for what’s caused the rumored issue between the Duchess of Sussex and Camilla? The insider said Meghan feels as though the Queen has always tried to tarnish her image.
“She’s convinced Camilla has been trying to undermine her and paint her as the villain from day one,” the source claimed. “Meghan feels like Camilla has been out to get her for years, and some people within royal circles would agree.”
It’s unclear when Meghan and Camilla last spent any time together, but the Duchess has not been in the UK since 2022. She and Harry were in London for a charity event in September of that year, but Queen Elizabeth II passed away during their visit. They both stayed in the UK for her funeral, but left shortly afterwards.
