Kelly Clarkson posts lengthy statement announcing end of The Kelly Clarkson Show
On Monday, Kelly Clarkson shared a heartfelt statement on Instagram confirming that Season 7 of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” will be her last as host. In the post, she reflected on the series’ journey, which premiered in 2019 and quickly became known for its warm interviews, emotional storytelling, and viral “Kellyoke” performances.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people,” Clarkson wrote, thanking the show’s production teams in both Los Angeles and New York. She described the experience as deeply meaningful and credited the crew and band for making the decision to step away especially difficult.
Clarkson went on to explain that her choice was driven by a desire to be more present for her children. “This was not an easy decision,” she wrote. She added that stepping away from the show’s demanding daily schedule would give her the space to prioritize her children in a way that feels “necessary and right” at this stage of her life.
The singer shares two children, daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remy, 9, with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
While the talk show may be ending, Clarkson reassured fans that this is not a full retreat from the spotlight. In her message, she noted that she plans to continue making music, performing live when she can, and possibly appearing on “The Voice” in the future. “You never know where I might show up next,” she added.
According to a press release, Season 7 will continue with new episodes until fall 2026, and the crew learned of the news alongside viewers. Over seven seasons, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, cementing its place as one of daytime television’s most celebrated programs.
