Former Prince Andrew’s eviction from Royal Lodge has followed him to his Wood Farm home in Sandringham, where sources claim staff already show resistance to being anywhere near him. Andrew left the 31-room Royal Lodge in Windsor late Monday. He then travelled to Sandringham under what one source described as “the cover of darkness,” and reportedly has plans to relocate to a permanent home nearby — Marsh Farm — when renovations finish around April.
Staff urged not to serve Ex-Prince Andrew if ‘uncomfortable,’ says source
Before ex-Prince Andrew settles in his Wood Farm residence, The Sun exclusively reported that staff have received clear guidance from management. Hence, the atmosphere around his arrival sounds tense. A source told the publication, “They’ve been told they don’t have to serve Andrew or work for him if they feel uncomfortable,” adding, “There is already quite a list saying no thanks.” Moreover, they described “a lot of disquiet” because “he is now a total pariah.”
Andrew’s concern doesn’t stop there; the source also expresses concern about how temporary stays can quickly turn into something else. They said, “There is also a worry that once he gets comfortable at Wood Farm while Marsh Farm is being finished, they will never get him out again.”
The Sun previously described the departure as personally bruising. A friend claimed, “He had planned to cling on at Royal Lodge a little longer,” adding, “It was made clear to him that it was time to go.” The mate added, “Leaving was so humiliating for him that he chose to do it under the cover of darkness.” Besides, a witness pointed to a moment earlier in the day, saying, “It was as if he was waving goodbye.”
For the former Prince Andrew, the move is like a shrinking circle with staff unwilling to work for him, fewer familiar faces, fewer willing hands, and a growing sense that he no longer has a place where people want to stay beside him.
