Backstreet Boys’ Brian Littrell’s Trespass Lawsuit Tossed for This Reason

It’s back to the drawing board for Brian Littrell regarding his lawsuit. The former Backstreet Boys singer had his complaint against a woman thrown out by a judge in Walton County, Florida.

Brian alleges that a woman named Carolyn Barrington Hill trespassed on his property. The allegations date back to April 2025 and September 6. Brian and his wife Leighanne accuse Carolyn of seven counts of illegal trespassing, one count of invasion of privacy and one count of stalking. The stalking charge was later dismissed by the couple. On Tuesday, a judge dismissed the case without prejudice. This was for failing to state a claim for which relief can be granted. That may not be the end of these proceedings, however.

Carolyn isn’t out of the woods just yet in relation to this matter. Brian and Leighanne will need to make a stronger case, though, if they want a judge to seriously consider it. According to the documents obtained by Page Six, the couple have 20 days to refile their complaint in this trespassing case as a Tuesday when the ruling was made.

According to their filings, Brian and Leighanna allege that Carolyn ignored the no-trespassing sign posted on their Santa Rosa property. They believe she entered without right or authority. Brian and Leighanne also allege that Carolynn set out to antagonize, bully and harass them multiple times.

Brian and Leighanne claim to have suffered emotional distress because of Carolynn’s alleged trespassing and harassment. Emotion distress damages are apparently not permitted legally in a trespassing case. They also listed their BLB Beach Hut LLC as a plaintiff. By law, it cannot experience emotional distress.

Carolyn reportedly once set up her beach furniture on their property. That led to some intense shouting between her and Brian. She reportedly videotaped it all secretly without his knowledge. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is also named in the suit. Brian and Carolyn accuse them of failing to enforce their rights to private property.
