Meghan Markle just reignited the coat price debate with a simple high-street pick. A report summed it up in one line, saying, “even duchesses love a good bargain.” Meanwhile, Kate Middleton went the opposite way in Wales with a McQueen coat.
As per a recent British Vogue Instagram upload, the Duchess of Sussex wore a Zara coat in Jordan. Another source reported that the Princess of Wales stepped out in a designer pick: an “Alexander McQueen” coat.

GB News said the Wales outing happened in Powys on Thursday, ahead of St David’s Day. It reported the couple wore daffodils for the visit. It described her outerwear as a “vintage Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen” burgundy coat.
That McQueen coat returned after a December 2024 appearance, per the report. It also listed a Me + Em sleeveless top and scarf at £195. She paired it with a Christopher Kane pleated maxi skirt. For boots, it is named Gianvito Rossi “Rhymes” in Merlot.
In contrast, Marie Claire reported Meghan Markle wrapped her Jordan trip on February 26. Her Zara coat is reportedly priced at $169. The report said she and Prince Harry visited an addiction recovery center. It added that she wore her Welsh gold wedding band and Cartier Love bracelet.
Then, it quoted her note, “Congratulations on your dedication to your care.” Meghan added, “Wishing you continued healing and happiness.” It also quoted Harry, “It’s ok to not be ok.” He added, “Trust each other.”
However, the Kate Middleton cost story has been spelled out before. As per an Express report dated December 3, 2024, her boots cost an “eye-watering £1,650.” The outlet said the style is “bang on trend.” At the same time, GB News called Zara “relatively affordable” beside designer wardrobes.
