Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ 4-year prison sentence reportedly cut short by a month and a half

A new update on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’s prison sentence has caught everyone’s attention. Now, he would reportedly be released a month and a half earlier than the original date, i.e., June 4, 2028. Page Six exclusively obtained the details from the Federal Bureau of Prisons about the rapper’s legal battle and jail sentence.

Last year in November, he made headlines for entering a drug-abuse rehabilitation program. Allegedly, it would be beneficial for him to reduce his time in prison. Furthermore, the outlet quoted Diddy’s representative, who addressed the rehab information at the time.

“Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and has taken his rehabilitation process seriously from the start. He is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change,” they mentioned in a statement.

While the music executive’s late sentence was shortened, the situation went sideways in 2025. He allegedly violated prison rules; therefore, his release date changed from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028. Some of the alleged rules that he broke included consuming “homemade alcohol” and “a three-way phone call.”

Earlier, when he was sentenced, Combs broke his silence on his legal battle. As per NBC News, he said in court: “I am not this larger than life person—I am just a human being, I was trying my best, I got lost in my excess and lost in my ego.”
