Megyn slammed Britney, saying that we are watching her “deteriorate.” The singer spent a few hours in jail on Thursday morning before being released.
Megyn Kelly thinks Britney Spears is “mentally damaged” by fame
Fame can be a double-edged sword, as many celebrities can attest to, including Britney. For Megyn, that may be contributing to Britney’s woes. The mother of two has had her share of negative publicity over the years, as is often the case with public figures. According to Megyn, all that fame at such a young age and the attention she continues to get have made her “mentally damaged.”
Megyn notes how many random videos she has posted to social media as proof of her mental struggles. Some of those posts were of her dancing, and one was her talking about a new product in an odd, what sounded like, British accent. She also had an infamous video where she talked about hating America. “This is what she does all the time,” says Megyn.
Sources say that Britney is telling people that when she did a blood alcohol test, she was 0.06 below the 0.08 limit. Nonetheless, police can still charge you with a DUI if they find you’re driving erratically. She was stopped by the California Highway Patrol on Wednesday evening. Reports indicate she was bawling her eyes out during the booking process.
Britney’s publicist, Cade Hudson, has called Britney’s arrest “inexcusable” in a statement while adding that her loved ones will have a plan for her recovery. Her two sons will reportedly be with her through this difficult time.
