Well, this is shady. The word on the street is that the next season of Love Island will have a little bit of a twist, and it’s giving Ex on the Beach vibes. Producers are casting for the upcoming season, and allegedly, they’ve been reaching out to people’s exes. If true, it would make for some extra explosive bombshells.
One Love Island UK applicant’s ex was reportedly approached by casting

This Love Island rumor arrives via The Sun. They spoke with a woman who applied to be on Love Island. She claims that her ex was contacted by producers just two days later, even though his social media accounts were set to private.
“I mentioned a guy in the application who I dated for a bit, who actually was a bit flaky to me,” the applicant told the outlet.
She added, “Two days later, I get a text from the guy saying, ‘I’ve just been approached to go on Love Island, and it’s really random.’”
Supposedly, the casting people even asked him to come to ITV studios, leaving him completely confused. The poor guy probably thought it was some sort of scam. In actuality, a girl he used to know submitted his name in her application. Now, he might have a shot at becoming an Islander.
ITV hasn’t commented on these casting rumors, but it wouldn’t be the first time that exes have appeared on the show. Still, the outlet that got the tip seems to believe that this aggressive approach to casting will usher in a major twist for the next season.
Until we hear it from ITV directly, we’ll take this casting rumor with a grain of salt. But, could you imagine if all of the Casa Amor bombshells were actually exes of the current Islanders? It’d be the most unhinged season yet.
Love Island is streaming via ITV.
