Prince William Releases Unseen Photo With Late Princess Diana From Archives

Prince William shared an old photo with the late Princess Diana to mark Mother’s Day. On March 15, the future heir celebrated the important day by posting a throwback picture with his late mother on Instagram. For those unversed, King Charles’s first wife passed away in the 1997 car crash at the age of 36. At the time, William and Prince Harry were 15 and 12, respectively.

Prince William recently shared a photo with his mother, the late Princess Diana, on Instagram. On Sunday, he celebrated Mother’s Day with a heartfelt post about the former Princess of Wales. In the caption, he wrote, “Remembering my mother, today and every day. Thinking of all those who are remembering someone they love today. Happy Mother’s Day. W.”

Meanwhile, the picture featured two-year-old William enjoying a trip to the field of wildflowers with his mother. According to the BBC, the photo was taken in 1984 at the royal family’s main home of Highgrove, Gloucestershire. In the snap, the future king seemed to be invested in the colorful flowers as he looked down. Meanwhile, the late princess posed for the camera with a smile.

Since the upload, the beautiful post has garnered over 763K likes at the time of writing. It was shared on the official social media page of The Prince and Princess of Wales. Furthermore, many online users have left wonderful words for the mother of two. One wrote, “Carrying her legacy on with honor! She was a beauty.” Another commented, “What a beautiful tribute, Wills, she would have been so incredibly proud of you!”

On Mother’s Day, Prince William was not the only one who recalled the precious moments. The official Royal Family account also shared a message and posted a few photos. It featured three black-and-white pictures, which included the late Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen Mother, and Queen Camilla’s mother. Moreover, the caption read, “Wishing Mothers everywhere, and those who might be missing their Mums today, a restful Mothering Sunday”.
