Closer reported that Netflix cut ties with Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, “As Ever,” after a year-long partnership — a situation that has allegedly hit Prince Harry hard. One insider claimed that the Duke was ready to step aside from the entertainment industry altogether.
The source told Closer, “Harry has not taken this setback with Netflix well, it has tipped him over the edge and he’s now saying he’s done with the whole entertainment industry; he’s over it.” Moreover, the insider painted a very different picture of Markle’s mood, claiming, “But Meghan is nowhere near ready to quit. In her eyes this is just a setback, a devastating one for sure, but it’s not the end of the world.”
Now, “She’s dusting herself off and coming up with a game plan to forge ahead.”
Additionally, the source claimed, “If Harry doesn’t want to push through, she won’t force him. If anything, she seems relieved to be doing this solo,” adding, “He can focus on the Invictus Games and building that up and she can focus on Hollywood.”
Besides, Markle reportedly sees her brand as personal, and she wants to run with her own ideas, which is why “The last thing she wants is to feel she’s dragging Harry along against his will,” according to the insider.
